Queenie:
Doesn't look good for the Blazers. Doubt they'll be able to pull off three in a row. Especially since Shaquille O'Neal seems to have conquered his free throw problem.

No Nose:
Dont like them odds.

Myk Murphy:
evenin', all. yup, theo, 4 track mixer/recorders are good fun... that's a damn fine price, no matter the condition. as for tim keegan's album, it certainly is excellent.
(Mon May 29, 2000 - 10:04:43 pm)

Myk Murphy:
the word is out: warner bros has split with robyn. "beatle dennis" wrote well about it on WBR's miserable RH site (we remember it well). dennis pointed out that WB did nothing to promote him, although with the current state of radio and video (both "alt" and mainstream, if you can tell the difference... i cannot), the cards were stacked against success. i wonder what robyn's next move will be. another large label, or is he a bit weary and bitter now? i would certainly be tired of it, and i suspect i would retreat to the sanctuary of an indie label.
(Mon May 29, 2000 - 10:26:34 pm)

Queenie:
Shit. I was counting on my warner bros. connection to get another interview! Damn.I was wondering why, when I received the promo material on the Grant Lee Hitchcock tour recently, it referred to them both as "former Warner Bros artists"...

Dr GB:

Myk Murphy:
hello, folks. this really can't be a bad thing, you know, since WB never did promote robyn for a second. no radio, no interview cycle with major entertainment rags, no POP displays at record stores. they simply printed CDs and placed them in the bins.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 8:38:31 am)

Decoy:
True, maybe the lame-ass touring will come to an end as well.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 8:39:47 am)

Decoy:
His success is fairly fan-driven, in a way. RH music is so eccentric, all the traditional marketing tools probably are useless. WB was confused, obviously.

Chewing Wax:

Decoy:
So gentlemen, what was it yesterday, charcoal or gas?
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 8:57:17 am)

Chewing Wax:
Alas no cook outs for me.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:04:28 am)

Chewing Wax:
I had steamed clams though
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:14:41 am)

Myk Murphy:
actually, the weather down here was miserable all weekend long. due to technical issues, i found myself in the office and/or remotely working most of monday.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:17:12 am)

Myk Murphy:
we've been cooking out with some regularity, however, and the norm is gas.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:17:59 am)

Decoy:
We have both. Gas is easier, but if you want to eat good - charcoal rules. We used gas yesterday.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:24:44 am)

Decoy:
The weather liars couldn'r get it right, It was supposed to rain all day on Sunday and Monday, but they were two of the nicest days I have ever seen. Just perfect.

Decoy:
Speaking of steamed clams, I have good news, the MFC starts on Thursday.
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:26:57 am)

Chewing Wax:
It always does, but I can't make it on Thursday. Well, maybe I can. I doubt it though. Won't be the same but it might be better then nothing. Don't you have to watch the kids?
(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:28:51 am)

Decoy:
They are staying with my mom for the weekend.

(Tue May 30, 2000 - 9:31:24 am)
