bela:
Yeah like what? You were asking for donations weren't you?
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:24:02 pm)

Heruka:
it is to me. I've never paid so much in my life. they were made by short palfaced Micks.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:24:08 pm)

bela:
Yeah, well I'll tell you thats not really a lot to pay for a utilitarian pair of shoes.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:25:11 pm)

bela:
CW and Decoy pay that much for their shoes I know it.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:25:53 pm)

Queenie:
anyone who gave me money got a standard producer contract that includes a percentage of all profit over production costs. but since it's unlikely that i'll make any profit, it was, in reality, more of a donation. though all i would have to do is win one festival and everyone would get their money back and then some.

Heruka:
they're yuppies. I am not. I'm a working man. It's the sweat on my brow that keeps a roof over my head.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:27:16 pm)

Queenie:
technically, i'm the only one doomed to never make any money on it... but that's ok cause I didn't spend any, except for like $150.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:29:11 pm)

bela:
They're yuppies, thats funny. I think that term is an anachronism.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:33:17 pm)

Decoy:
I typically pay $75-$100 for shoes. Sometimes I'll find just what I'm looking for for $30, though. I try to shop, but I HATE shopping.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:53:44 pm)

Decoy:
Bela, you should do a boot camp, no pun intended, on how to go to war for the clothes at the best bargain.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:55:56 pm)

Heruka:
I actually enjoy shopping. And I'm good at it.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:56:14 pm)

Decoy:
I really really hate spending good money on crap. I'll pay for quality without hesitation. I pass over crap, even if it all that there is and I need it, No crap, thanks.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:58:28 pm)

Decoy:
You can pretty much rest assured that there is something wrong with the most expensive of any item and the cheapest of any item. True.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 1:59:48 pm)

Heruka:
quality doesn't always cost more than crap. when it comes to brand names, the opposite is true the majority of the time.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 2:00:29 pm)

bela:
Heruka is right. I always inspect skirts for quality of zippers and if its not lined - forget it. Wool skirt no lining? Fuck you. Heruka is right, I can go into a store like Anthropologie and find a skirt I love for $150 and it will be cheap with no lining - what good does that do me.
(Mon Nov 11, 2002 - 2:07:53 pm)

Heruka:
I used to like Nautica wear. But then I realized I could go to Dicks Sporting goods and buy a singlecolor tshirt for a fourth of the price and it's a better quality shirt. it lasts more than a single summer. so what if it doesn't have cute fish on it or what. I'm tired of buying junk.
