I know nothing about Cats and I went to see a music/storytelling show recently where a friend was talking about it on stage. After the show I genuinely asked him why he was talking about genital cats. Once he had stopped laughing an hour later, he explained that they're jellicle cats. Who knew?

indeed, some of the reviews commenting on the creepy nature of this film point out that there's something really wrong with cats with breasts, yet all cats appear to be neutered. mrs murphy recently took the littlest murphy to a performance of cats, as it was in town. she (my daughter) loved it, but as she hasn't been to many shows yet, i suspect her tastes will become more refined. but when you're 11 years old, it's a fun time, i'd imagine. she wants to see the film, but i should warn her that it might not be as pleasant.
