And now Thanksgiving is upon us. This weekend we'll head to the beach, so tonight we put up the tree. Normally heresy to do the tree prior to turkey, but the short season and travel dictates a practical approach. As for the tree at the beach, it stands about 18 inches tall and is pre-decorated. It sits in the basement, waiting for the season under a small plastic sheet. Charlie Brown would consider it unacceptably minimalist. It is the annual target of yuletide derision, but remains unperturbed, as it is a tiny fake tree.
