Myk- man cannot live on dark brew alone. Actually, I fell in love with Jamaican food (while there) and since all they drink is Red Stripe I kind of got the taste for it. McLeudt- I love a good stout, but some of the worlds finest beers- Harp, Fosters, Pilsner Urquell, Dos Equies, almost any India Pale Ale, are pale and tasty.

Hmm, let me check something. Nope this is still the Robyn Hitchc--k MB (in theory). Aah The Church, Myk- they are interesting when listening to them in a altered state. Been drinking or smoking? Nothing wrong with that. Marty recently sold his Heyday shirt at the auction where I got my stuff. Gold Afternoon Fix was Joes favorite, he was particullarly fond of Essence. Sometime-Anywhere is less of a Church album and more of a collaboraion, Koppes has returned (for now) which is why the MATS album sound is more Church-y. They need him, ecspecially the live shows, which are phenomenal and legendary, the way Koppes and Wilson-Piper went back and forth WoW! hooded-at first I didn't like P=A either, it's a devoloped taste but one worth devoloping. I'm uncertain of the DT question, didn't like Hex. On a completely different note, according to my sources. The people over at South Park are trying to entice Robert Smith (The Cure) in a guest appearence. REALLY!!

hi hooded, i'm doing groovy, and i hope your life is good in 98, since 97 was a bit of a drag for you. so cool that you guys are Church fans, as there aren't too many of 'em, really. (in the states). i'm currently listening to "Sometime Anywhere". cool album, in the sense that it's completely self-indulgent and artistically free, but its primary value is to those with altered minds, if you get the meaning. only really big Church fans love this album, really. of course, only big church fans know this one exists, since airplay dropped to zero for these poor guys. "Magician... " is a return to more traditional tunes and a little further from the eastern rhythms of "sometime... ". as i've said before, my fave church album is Heyday, but Starfish is amazing too. certainly both are great for serious listening while sippin, drinkin, or smokin your favorite things. Priest=Aura was uneven, but had some great tunes. i never did fall in love with Gold Afternoon Fix, though it had some great songs. what a great band, though they've lost half their membership... Sleepy, are you aware of a early-70's group called "Sharks" with Chris Spedding and a former member of Free on bass? A singer named "Snips"? I have that album (a bloke gave me a collectible mint copy of it for yucks). I have been listening to it a lot and find it very fun....

Journey had a hit right after Steve Perry joined that is actually a duet with Greg Rolie--they trade lines throughout the song. I don't remember the name of the song, but it's Journey's first bonified hit (the same album as "Light"..."When the lights go down in the city.....".) It was downhill very quickly after that...

Folks, if you really listen carefully to kd lang, you will here a great deal of wayne in there. wayne sang as a teenager in the early fifties (soundtracks, minor hits) and I swear if you listened to that old stuff you'd think it was kd-- whose natural singing voice owes far more to wayne than the oft' mentioned patsy.
