Queenie - Hopefully people in England are going off Oasis a little now. I think an Oasis gig is probably akin to a football match these days. As for the Spice Girls, the Girl Power thing is obviously a farce, however, in a country filled with pretty airhead boy and girl singers, we are at least grateful that they (or someone pulling their strings) can come up with some original pop songs. At the end of the day, we're left with five multi-millionaires, so they must be doing something right!

Hello..Well sorry Chris, wrong burger I guess. I meet a lot of people in my cable plugging activities, but if you've never been to 'Vang'...well, Happy new year to you anyway. If you are in touch with Robyn, perhaps you could get any information you can on his tour plans etc., and then post them here. you must admit we get very little information, and like people waiting in a line up, we tend to chat among ourselves..waiting for any information, that could be of interest. Another good friend of mine from another 80s british band Also has a message/chat board set up by fans, etc, and he actually posts occasionally and chats to his fans..next time you talk to Robyn ask him to try that,He's not adverse to technology..he plays an electric guitar, and can type,so, log on Robyn tell us 'your chattering fans' something that you've been up to.how's YOUR cat? Chris,I'm sorry you feel embarrased. You cant go home again, and old pants dont fit. But step out and shoot ourselves?? That's a bit er... drastic. I enjoy this board ,and the people that post here..All of them. I'm sure we would enjoy talking to you, sharing stories about those old days in Cambridge..THAT'S what the internet is good for.Who else but us would give a shyt? It was nice to email you John T... catch you ALL later.

I want to ask Sleepy....Does everyone in England REALLY love the Spice Girls and Oasis?? And would someone please tell me why the SPice Girls are always talking about "Girl power! Girl Powah!" when if fact they embody, from head to toe to "music" career, everything that Girl Power emphatically is NOT?? And please explain to me why people FALL FOR IT???? Millions of little girls will grow up thinking that girl power means showing your t-tties and singing poorly in outrageous clothes, letting others do all the thinking for you and building a career based on your looks. It will undermine the hard work done by generations of feminists. I would wish for them to die in a horrible flaming plane crash, but remember what happened in "Heathers?" They would become heroes...They would be immortalized forever as young & talented & beautiful... So instead I will wish for a terrific scandal that tears them apart, they try to put out solo albums that are laughably bad and we never have to hear from them again. Boy, I sure didn't mean to go off on a rant. And to those people that haven't answered my trivia question, the answer is: "Take that, fukkers!!"

Sad,sad, sad. You know what it's like when you go back to your old neighborhood and it's been completely ruined? That's what it was like coming back to this message board two days ago. I suppose the small group that now monopolizes this space are too lazy to email each other directly. Alternatively, they could do the decent thing and just step outside and shoot themselves. For my friend Robyn, whom I've known since 1975, I'm embarrassed that your name should be a--ociated with all this boring public wanking - what the hell does it have to do with your music?. To 'm': I never been to Vancouver; that Hamburger wasn't me. To JT: this would be a good place to stop visiting for a while - too bad!

The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying discusses the need to train oneself to remember the way after one's death. That I understand: it is through that effort that one may be able to better oneself progressively from incarnation to incarnation. However, I have found very little reason to look backward into previous lives. Perhaps you can enlighten me about that.
