Queenie - Hopefully people in England are going off Oasis a little now. I think an Oasis gig is probably akin to a football match these days. If you are in touch with Robyn, perhaps you could get any information you can on his tour plans etc., and then post them here. you must admit we get very little information,and like people waiting in a line up, we tend to chat among ourselves..waiting for any information,that could be of interest.
Another good friend of mine from another 80s british band Also has a message/chat board set up by fans,etc,

I want to ask Sleepy....Does everyone in England REALLY love the Spice Girls and Oasis?? And would someone please tell me why the SPice Girls are always talking about "Girl power! Girl Powah!" when if fact they embody, from head to toe to "music" career, everything that Girl Power emphatically is NOT?? And please explain to me why people FALL FOR IT???? Millions of little girls will grow up thinking that girl power means showing your t-tties and singing poorly in outrageous clothes, letting others do all the thinking for you and building a career based on your looks. It will undermine the hard work done by generations of feminists. I would wish for them to die in a horrible flaming plane crash, but remember what happened in "Heathers?" They would become heroes...They would be immortalized forever as young & talented & beautiful... So instead I will wish for a terrific scandal that tears them apart, they try to put out solo albums that are laughably bad and we never have to hear from them again. John,I look forward to volumn 2.St.BoB Geldof lived in Vancouver before starting the Rats, and was music editor for the "Georgia straight" alternative paper, He reviewed our band back in 1979 ,he said we took ourselves too seriously, he was right..heh.Doctor Demento who saw us(antheads) at the Smilin' Buddah, said we had no comercial potential,But loved the melodies..he Also said no one will buy songs about living Down in south America with J.F.K.,Elvis Presley and Abraham Lincoln...what rave reviews.
