OK...true to music business form, I have not announcements about changes that will take place. "A Shower of Syllables" will NOT have 25 tracks as initially promised. I will whittle it down to 10-12, and save all the others for future release. In a moment of drunken clarity, I realized that about 15 of the songs were just not good enough for public consumption. Anyhoo, the first 10 orders I get (when I make the CD available, of course) will STILL get a hand drawn limited edition CD case. The web page is taking alot more work than I had initially planned. I'll try to have it up as soon as possible. Just got the new Robyn Hitchc--k 'retrospective', Uncorrected Personality Traits. I'm sure you all have the tracks in their original albums, but I happen to think the liner notes are well worth the price of admission. Toodles......

Absolutely strange - what happens to the place over the weekend? Is it just one person being insane? CW (Pumpkin?) - about the Storefront gig (with Robyn? Robyn Hitchc--k? this is a site about Robyn..) he finished the first verse of Airscape and then switched guitar picks - he wanted a Virgin Mary pick or something (I'm not making this up!) ... Very bummed about the Robyn skipping the Drake gig: still might play it tho. Incidentally, any fans of LOVE out there - Bryan Mclean's "new" album (actually 67 demos of songs from Forever Changes, and unheard tunes) is very good. Its called Ifyoubelievein. Take care all. Bryter layter.

Had to get rid of the AM radio...just couldn't handle it. So, I put in a CD player. Thing is, I was traumatized a while ago when someone stole my cassette collection out of my car, so I only keep one CD with me when I'm riding around. For the past two weeks I've been listening to Pink Floyd's Animals. Great Albumn, but DAMN, I'm tired of it. I keep forgetting to take it out when I arrive at home. Oh well. Well.....saw Penn & Teller. I thought it struck a serious blow for skepticism and rational thought here in Greenville. Penn (the one who talks) was milling outside the theatre during intermission as I smoked. Did I walk up to him and declare my allegiance to his call in life? Did I storm up to the 6-5' Penn and tell him that he was a really funny dude? No....I just walked around the building directly behind him and smoked my Camel. Oh well....there's always Manhattan. P.S....Decided to name the album 'A Shower of Syllables'. I also came up with my first advertising gimmick. Hello, all. I'm back (as if it is a monumental event)! Well, tonight is the night Pork Chop & I see Penn & Teller. The lady at the box office flirted with us and said we could meet P&T if we called her. "How can we call you," I dutifully asnwered, "If we don't have your number?" She looked at me, and turned her gaze to Pork Chop (the much more handsome of the two of us), where she then proceeded to write her number down for us. Will we actually meet the vaunted Penn & Teller? Will I actually get to ask Penn about the tour he did with The Residents back in '83? If I do, will he even care that I know trivial aspects of his career? Stay tuned and find out.....

I had an old 1977 Mercedes 450 SEL. I'd slide hundreds of feet before finally stopping, often in the middle of the intersection. Just rear wheel drive with a big huge empty trunk weighing down those tires. Loaded up the trunk with kitty litter one year. Oh, I miss that car.

yes, the local populace believes deeply in tradition, and the tradition is to panic when snow comes. to get ratings, the local channels turn the news into "storm crisis centers" when the threat of snow exists, no matter how much. the only threat is from the other drivers, in my view, although i should note that my 71 LeMans is dreadful in snow and ice. and it slides.... my, how it slides....

Hey rOb. Decoy and I saw Penn & Teller off off Broadway way back in '86. That was just before he stole my girl friend and car and dissappeared, leaving me a shattered emotional wreck. What a trip that was. We saw Letterman and got in a Mets game too. No Robyn though.

heh heh. silly new guy posting twice! ah, just kiddin'. sounds like you found some groovy stuff, rob. thanks, voltaic, for pointing out who the faux voltaics are. (ya can't keep up without a scorecard, as they say). i'm considering a trade-in of my voltaic to the '98 model. it is said to have better handling and suspension. (insurance on the new voltaics is awfully high, so check with your agency first.) yesterday i passed great hordes of pumpkins without stopping and getting one. i'm ashamed. at this time of year, pumpkins congregate in strip-mall parking lots, probably for breeding purposes.

I'll make a copy of any of these things for the following.... I want a mix tape of your (the people's) favorite Hitchc--k tunes. Jeez....I feel like I'm on speed.... You calling me Pumpkin-boy? That's a very good question. A very good question indeed. I got the CD like about a jillion years ago, long before the rerelease. The song is right near the end. Just another good reason to buy the CD I guess. Here's another line -"That's what happens accidentally when youre in the mood, for a bit of nothing much, or maybe just some food. That's what happens every day, between you say and between do. That's what happens every second to you." There. You'll know if you've heard it or not.
