My favorite album today would have to be Element of Light. But that changes from day to day. Has anyone else noticed that "Somewhere Apart" is a complete ripoff of Lennon's "Remember?" But it's still a good song. By the way, would anyone out there be willing to tape Mossy Liquor for a guy who got to the stores too late? I'll pay. Why did they make it such a limited edition?!!!!

It's been six years since I saw Robyn for my one & only time & the memory of that night has yet to dim. 'Twas up in Jacksonville at the Einstein Au-Go-Go and Robyn was on his "Eye" tour. The show ranks as one of my favorite shows of all time. I've still got the crowd chants of "Bones in the Ground! Bones in the Ground!" ringing in my head. C'mon everybody! Tell us your favorite Robyn album and/or song. Mine's "I Often Dream of Trains."

RW-As per "Y&O"- that is Robyn's daughter Maisie singing. Apparently (as far as I know) some of the songs that ended up on Y&O were actually recorded over old tapes of Childe Maisie (she's 21 now) singing and there is some sonic bleed-through. Actually, I would recommend that people who have questions of a similar nature or who simply want to chew the fat about Robyn and related matters head over to the fegmaniax mailing list. You can subscribe by writing to majordomo@ecto.org and writing subscribe fegmaniax in the message. I'm really surprised that they don't give the address on this page. Thank you very much for making the music you do. I of course realize that you're not doing it for me, especially, but if people were only thankful for those things directed at them specifically we'd be a bitter lot. I'm a fan of everything from Angielpoise Lamp to present (okay...most Egyptians stuff aside). Why do I mention this? It's supposed to make you think that I've got taste or something or other that would lead you to write back. It would really be wonderful to hear how you're doing, actually. What's happening in Robynland and surrounding communities? Do you know where I can find sheet music for your stuff? If a train left New York headed for Akron at two-hundred miles an hour and another in the opposite direction at one-hundred-fifty what are the odds that somebody from Eric Clapton's band is on one of them? Anyway, if you'd write back with responses it would be swell. If you ever want to hear the music I'm writing (influenced strongly by I Often Dream of Trains especially) lemme' know. I'm sorry if Warner is making you read all of these but it's really great to have a chance to say thank you! Yer-good-ol-buddy-ol-fan, Steve Cullison

The movie and soundtrack may be all new; there may be some older stuff as well. That's what they're working out.

I got the chance to hang out with Robyn after his show Friday night and asked him what he thought about this site, and unfortunately, he has not seen it.He did ask me to pass a couple of messages along, though. To the people who have set up a Web site dedicated to Figgy, the cat that graces the inside of Moss Elixir. He is the not the cat's true father. He is only the step-father. Michele already had the cat when they got together. He also wanted to pass along that Michele has only one L. Other than that, he is getting ready for the filming that will take place at the end of the tour in New York. Jonathan Demme will be directing, and there's the possibility that up to four shows will be recorded and edited into the final film, which should be out in the first quater of next year. At this point, Robyn and Warner Bros. are working out what will be included in the set and what will appear on the soundtrack. He is playing a couple of new songs that may be performed for the film. He also said there is some talk that he may be back in the States in the spring for some more dates.

Speaking of drunk at Robyn shows, one show he gave at the 86 Street Music Hall in Vancouver about 3-4 years ago found me completed faced. My memory of that night is one of those special memories that make you cringe when you think of them. You know the ones. I ended up screaming "ROBYN! ROBYN!" at the stage like some moronic Oasis fan. Robyn, The new album is great. And there's so much about you on the web. Thanks to all the fans for all the hard work compiling all this information. It's a great help to me when doing radio interviews. I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow

Robyn! Thanks for the great music. I met you at the Warfield in SF during your Respect tour. I was with Chris Alexander. We talked a little but you are such an important musical energy for me that I was virtually tongue-tied. When I saw you at the Great American in SF a couple years before, it was the greatest show I'd ever seen. Anyway, I've lost touch with Chris ...pass on this email address if you know where he is.... I miss him, he's a great person. Thanks again for all the honesty and beauty and skill it is so so rare and precious.

Robyn..If you read this..I saw you in 93 at the Vic in Chicago. You were getting off the bus. I was way too timid to barely make eye contact.Anyway if I see you this time around I swear I will comment to you on the fact that you have been a positive influence on my life.

Your latest album/cd is probably your best work to date. I am esp impressed with "A Happy Bird is a Filthy Bird." My eight year old daughter can't stop singing this song. Is another acoustic cd coming, like EYE?

Hey... I've heard that Jonathan Demme will be filming the Beacon(NYC) show for a full-length motion picture. Any truth to this? Also, for people looking for Mossy Liquor, I uncovered a stack of them at the Virgin Megastore in NYC. They are only $10.99. As of a few days ago, they had about 15 copies. Give them a call- I'm sure they do mailorders.

I went to the Robyn Hitchcock page. It's quite nice. I was hoping for the lyrics to "Wading Through A Ventilator" I did want to note that "Dancing On God's Thumbs" last line is: It's Only A Disco. Also in "Eaten by Her Own Dinner" the line is Her lungs inflated by chipotle's " which are smokewd jalapeno peppers. Enough babble . Thanks for the space to write and the artist to breathe. Disturbed enough, Don

It's about time Robyn got the deal his music deserves - it should have been years ago, back in the days when the Egyptians were regularly playing venues in England, but better late than never. Oh and here's another request for Mossy Liquor to have a UK release.

Mr. Hitchcock, is there any way on earth that you could make a side-trip when you play in Chicago to sing a few at Notre Dame. I know we're in the middle of Nowhere, Indiana, but anyway.

Robyn: first of all, Liquor, in its pure untrammeled, tingly-spined spiky grumbly glory spikes the smooth Elixir. More of that, please! But WHYoWhy the WARFIELD? Please come to a little place, like the Great American Music Hall, so we can watch you grow a little greyer in our time lapse photos. Or else, you can play my living room. Cheers.

I passed by you in the dark while walking across the quad in Oberlin in February of 1992. All I could muster was "Hi, Robyn" as I kept walking towards the gig. My friend I was walking with didn't even believe it was you. You turned around after we were about twenty yards away to see why we had kept walking. I guess I should've asked for an autograph...

Robyn...is that internet original art auction going to happen? Or, how about a gallery show in Chicago? I've got empty wall space just begging for a Hitchcock original. Paintings or cartoons or a pencil sketch...they're as cool as your songs! Please make them available...and not just on T-shirts or CD covers. A book of original art would be superb. Or, how about doing a comic book?!? OK, I'll get off yer back...You're probably dancin' as fast as you can. You should send a message to the fegmaniax list once in a while via your friend with the computer. It'd be good to hear from you. ;) Everyone else...throw away your digitally remastered Don Henley CD's and get ME and ML!

We were really wondering though, if it would at all be possible for Robyn to play at our college, Mount Holyoke? We would be so excited to see him in person. And so would many of our friends. It would make our year here so much better. Lots of Love, McKay and Katharine
